Biblical Spiritual Disciplines for Real People

I wanted to make the readers aware of an exciting opportunity to attend a conference in Louisville, KY at Southern Seminary

From the Biblical Spirituality website:

The Center for Biblical Spirituality

presents a

National Conference with Donald S. Whitney

Biblical Spiritual Disciplines for Real People

Developing the simple, biblical means God has given to every Christian for pursuing intimacy with and conformity to Christ.

This is the most popular conference Don has held in local churches across America. In it he teaches simple, biblical solutions to the almost universal problems of (1) drudgery in prayer resulting from habitually saying the same old things about the same old things, and (2) failing to experience God or perceive spiritual progress through one’s daily Bible reading.

I think that this conference will be a tremendous blessing to anyone who will make the effort to attend. Please spread the word to others that you might know and who might be interested.

Personally, I plan to be there myself ( I have my tickets and now just waiting) I am coming from a good distance but believe that a conference like this could make a substantial difference in not only my own personal spiritual life, but my family’s life, and possibly the lives of other people that the Lord allows me to come into contact with in the days ahead.

Again from the Biblical Spirituality website:

The CFBS National Conference is 7:00 Friday night (eastern time) through 3:15 Saturday afternoon—April 4-5, 2008—at the Legacy Center on the beautiful campus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
This conference is for adults and teenagers. Children who register are also welcome, though no childcare will be provided. (Registration is not required for infants.) All Christians—singles, couples, pastors, staff, church leaders, etc. —can profit from this conference. So bring a group! Space is limited, so register early.

Registration is $75 per person. It includes two days of teaching, conference materials, refreshment breaks, and two hot, delicious meals—breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

A special rate of $65 is available for full-time students and spouses.

What kind of investment are you willing to make in your spiritual life and that of your family? $75 plus your travel expenses is not too much to pay when it involves a relationship with you and your God!

I encourage you to attend and I look forward to meeting you there. Who knows, I might even attempt to “live-blog” this conference (something I have never done before!)
