Summer is quickly drawing to a close

How do I know this?

The State Fair is in full swing

Labor Day is just a week away and

Seminary classes start tomorrow (Wednesday for me)

I am taking three classes this semester:  Foundation of Biblical Counseling, New Testament Biblical Theology (Gospels & Acts), and Systematic Theology III – Christology & Soteriology.

I will also be responsible for reading the following books:

Counseling: How to Counsel Biblically by John MacArthur and Wayne Mack
Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hands by Paul David Tripp
A Theology of the New Testament by George Eldon Ladd
New Testament Theology by I. Howard Marshall
Systematic Theology Vol.3 & 5 by Lewis Sperry Chafer

I know that I will have at least one term paper to do (15-20 pgs) on a something in the Christology/Soteriology area.  I am not sure about my other classes.

I recently purchased a couple of new books which I will have to wait to read until after the semester is over

Walter Isaacson wrote a biography of Benjamin Franklin and I also picked up a copy of the Reagan diaries (after my visit to the Reagan library on our recent vacation to CA)

I have not forgotten about posting more about my trip, just need to find the time to compose my thoughts.
